What is different between 100% silk and silk imitation?

Many customer choose silk imitation to replace the 100%silk, because it's cheaper and also have silky and gloss. 

We can find the difference between pure silk and silk imitaion by two ways:

Appearance: The drape of silk is superior to that of chemical fiber, not as stiff as chemical fiber; the hand feels soft, smooth, rich, cool in winter and cool in summer; while the feel of chemical fiber silk is dry, dry, cold in winter and hot in summer, and lacks flexibility. Experienced people in the industry can use their eyes to judge whether it is true or not.

Identification: The simplest method is to extract some silk from the silk, blow it out after ignition, sniff the smoke, and the hairy smell is silk, because the silk is a protein fiber, and the hair and wool have the same smell after ignition. The chemical fiber is a petrochemical product, and the smell varies greatly depending on the type (polyester, brocade, nitrile, chlorine, propane...).
